Sometimes, Sadness Rings True
Being separated from those you love is often difficult.
It's been almost 2 months since my spouse has been in Cuba. Most days, life is good. I study, work, hang out with friends, you know, the normal day to day stuff that makes up the bulk of one's life.
But there are days when you are sad, angry and feeling hopeless all at once. It is often difficult to sort out the conflicting emotions that do drive-by's in your head. You grow tired and frequently feel hurt. You get worried and your faith and trust in your partner wanes.
Days like that really bite.
Today is one of those days.
It's one of those days where nightmares plunge you into a darkness that lingers even after you're awake. Where the dreams were so intense that you are having emotional reactions based upon the dream, rather than based upon the facts you are facing.
It colors your day and the colors aren't bright and cheery.
It's early afternoon. I can only hope that the day will get better.
